Granadilla de Abona
Granadilla de Abona is a municipality belonging to the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, on the island of Tenerife which is located in the south of the island. It has outstanding temperatures and scarce rainfall. The climatic characteristics decisively influence the vegetation, since it is perfectly adapted to dryness.
Granadilla has 38.5 km² of protected natural space, which represents 24% of the municipal territory.
Sports and nature
Its closest beach is El Médano, where water sports such as surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and paddle surfing are practised. The nucleus of El Médano arises around its port, being originally a small fishermen’s hamlet. From the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th, the Médano becomes a port of cabotage on the routes between Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the insular South.
Near the house you will find the road that connects Granadilla with El Teide. There are many hiking and cycling routes nearby.
